Children's Day Celebration 2019

Children's Day Celebration at Trishul

We thank our supporters for sponsoring the Delicious Dinner for our kids on the occasion of Children's Day.
We started the party by playing Musical Chair, in which they danced, sang, played, all in all they had fun. Ended it with the delicious Biryani.

On November 14 every year, Children's Day is celebrated all across India. It commemorates the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who, due to his love for children was fondly known as Chacha Nehru. The day emphasises on the importance of giving love, attention and affection to children.

Christmas Celebration 2019

Christmas Celebration at Trishul

Kids get very excited about Christmas, and a Christmas party is a great way to reward students for working hard and achieving their goals at academics, art and other forms of overall learning and development process. It also serves to help them make positive associations with school, Trishul Learning Center and overall education - that venue of education can be a place for fun!

Children enjoyed by playing Passing the parcel, it was the way to express the things they like to do.
Ended with the last small snacks party and lot of dance on Marathi song.

The idea behind celebrating festivals together at Trishul Learning Centre is to instill the right values in children. Festivals are the result of our mythological and traditional believes and this will help our kids to learn about their ancestor's culture, values and tradition. In this way they will also feel connected to their roots. Cultural and heritage values benefit children irrespective of which festival we celebrate and what religion or race they come from.

Gandhi Jayanti - Celebration 2019

Gandhi Jayanti Program at Trishul NGO

Gandhi's idea of non-violence was to live and help others to live. Helping others to live mutual respect should become foundation of our life. We are living in a society, where violence and terrorism have become the order of the day.

Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti was a collaborative initiative of TLC (Trishul Learning Center) faculty and children together. This activity based program helped children in understanding and experiencing why Gandhiji is called the Father of the Nation. How he got transformed from an ordinary man to Mahatma and what laid foundation that snow balled into a revolution that ultimately led to our country becoming independent and free country. A country that went on to become largest democracy in the world.

Highlights of the program

TLC faculty mentored children perform street play script based on Dandi March; children sang songs, recited poems and speech on Gandhiji, and demonstrated a simple but effective strategy for waste management.

It was great feeling to see each and every student take initiative and participate in their own ways, some acted, some sang , some prepared the props. A was a collaborative team work between children and TLC team.

We had a small snack party after the function.

The smile, enthusiasm and passion expressed by children gave us a sense of pride. We all had an amazing time.

We also had a small session on cleanliness and waste management (a foundation of this revolution was originally laid by Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi believed that a strong country could only be built on the shoulders of cleanliness. Swachh Bharat Mission was launched as an apolitical movement to uphold the Gandhian thought and bring about a cleanliness revolution in the country.
